LMC Interns and New Employees headed to Weaber Lumber to see a Mill in action!

This past Wednesday, July 27th, LMC Interns and new employees traveled to Weaber Lumber Distribution Center in Lebanon, PA. While there, a tour was provided courtesy of Weaber associates and saw LMC staff viewing the inner workings of the many different mills and manufacturing areas. The Senior Sales Coordinator, Jeff Minnich, along with John Georgelis, Vice President of Sales, gave many interesting details and allowed for additional insights into the world of Weaber and lumber mills/distribution centers across the country. Weaber Lumber has been crafting hardware solutions for 80 years and they have one simple principle, "Meet and exceed our customer's requirements of quality and service."

The trip from Wayne to Lebanon was carefully planned ahead of time to maximize the experience and knowledge for the interns and new employees involved. LMC understands and acts on the importance of exposing the interns and new young faces to the industry they serve. Not only did the group get to see the facility as a whole, they received detailed walk throughs of each stage of production. From the first step of getting these massive logs trimmed & shaped, to the final steps of the drying, packaging, and distributing processes, LMC employees got invaluable, hands-on experience. One of the interns who works in the Logistics Department, Lambert Nguyen, had this to say following the conclusion of the tour - "Weaber was a fun experience. We were able to see how different products are made from scratch. Plus, the people there were so friendly and informative that it made the tour interesting."

Weaber has been an LMC supplier since 2001.
