Shepley Wood Products Inc, a three-unit pro dealer of lumber and building materials located in Hyannis, Nantucket, and Wellfleet, MA has announced its merger with Kodiak Building Partners of Colorado. Kodiak is comprised of more than thirty other legacy companies in the building material supply business across the continental US. Kodiak maintains a fairly unique to the industry, de-centralized business model in which management and decision-making stay local, and the unique character of each of its member companies is kept in place, as is the staff. No jobs will be lost or outsourced as a result of this transaction.
Shepley’s name will stay the same, and company president, Tony Shepley, will stay in his position along with all other employees, including senior managers at Shepley.
Kodiak brings a wealth of industry experience and the resources of a $2 billion operation which, combined with Shepley’s local market expertise and presence, will produce great synergy.
