Franklin Building Supply CEO & President Rick Lierz was honored by the NLBMDA with the Chairman's Award for his years of dedicated service and outstanding contributions toward advancing the mission and goals of NLBMDA and for being a relentless advocate in Washington D.C. on behalf of the entire lumber and building material industry.
Lierz is a former chair of the NLBMDA and currently serves on the board of the Western Building Materials Asosciation. He was involved in numerous NLBMDA committees and task groups and remains heavily involved today.
"Rick was probably one of the most engaged and involved past chairs in NLBMDA's one-hundred plus year history. While he was chair, he formed the Strategic Sustainability RFP Task Force and I asked him to continue to lead that and he did," said Bob Sanford, current Chair of the NLBMDA. "With Rick's calm demeanor and well honed leadership skills, the task force delivered a recommendation to have SmithBucklin continue as our management partner after a full and thorough review that the NLBMDA unanimously approved."
Franklin Building Supply was named the best place to work in Idaho for three consecutive years and was the 2016 ProSales Dealer of the year. Lierz is a third generation President & CEO and former owner of Franklin Building Supply. Recently, the organization transitioned into being fully employee owned.
Franklin Building Supply has been an LMC Dealer since 2009.
