As of April 1st, 2019, the family trees of Wood Lumber Company and Mid-Cape Home Centers, an LMC dealer since 2012, have officially intertwined, anchoring their multi-generational roots even deeper into Cape Cod and the surrounding communities. Both are trusted and respected century-old lumber and building material landmarks. This move strongly reinforces the commitment by these family-owned businesses to stay, prosper, and grow locally.
Much more than a branch added to the Mid-Cape tree, this move births a new heritage for Wood Lumber Company, previously led by Dana and Eileen Miskell. The Miskell’s explain, “Our goal in transitioning the business, as we have officially reached retirement age, was for the Wood Lumber Company to remain a strong employer in Falmouth and a supplier of quality materials and service to builders and retail customers.” Dana goes on to say, “We feel that Mid-Cape is a perfect fit to maintain the quality products and service that Wood Lumber has always been known for.”
CEO of Mid-Cape Home Centers, Jeff Plank, adds, “Mid-Cape is thrilled to partner with Wood Lumber. It allows us to grow our talented team of people and deepen our relationship with Falmouth and the neighboring communities of southeastern Massachusetts.”
With full-service lumber yards, countless building materials, and hardware stores, both Mid-Cape and Wood Lumber are recognized as local companies with an emphasis on customer service and quality materials. From industry professionals to DIY homeowners, all customers will benefit from increased access to specialty products and services, including interior, exterior, and custom millwork, as well as kitchen and bath design.
“We welcome Wood Lumber to the Mid-Cape family with open arms,” says Jack Stevenson, President of Mid-Cape Home Centers. “Customers of both companies will see ever-increasing convenience, a continuing focus on service, more quality product offerings, and exceptional people added to an experienced team that is dedicated to helping customers build success.”
Mid-Cape’s expanded presence in the Upper Cape area strengthens and enriches the roots that both companies have established. From business to philanthropy, this will lead to an even greater experience for customers and residents – an experience that builds convenience, trust, and communities.
