Donna Millison, Lumber Trader, head organizer of the event, wanted to create space that would welcome the new employees and allow them to mingle with the rest of the staff.
When Millison was asked what inspired her to organize the event she remarked, “Honestly it was all the new hires. I felt that a lot of the new people could gain a lot from the LMC Veterans and vice versa. When you get to know someone outside of work you tend to find ways that you connect with others, and it allows you collaborate better with each other.”
It was the perfect, casual setting for the LMC team to interact with other. Aside from the fun conversation, employees enjoyed rounds of cornhole, a pie contest, and toasty fire pit perfect for making smores.
This event was true to the LMC TogetHER initiative of providing meaningful engagement and collaboration for all within the LMC buying cooperative.
It was a wonderful event and the LMC team could not be more grateful to Donna Millison, Kelley McFadden, and Rachel Hoops for great networking with great people.
