LMC Employees Give Back with the Share Food Program
The LMC Cares team recently spent some time in Philadelphia partnering with the Share Food Program. Share Food Program is a 501© nonprofit organization founded in 1986 dedicated to feeding communities experiencing food insecurity in and around the Philadelphia region. Their website states, “Share Food Program is now the largest-serving hunger relief organization in the Philadelphia region, and one of the largest independent food banks in the nation.”
LMC volunteers took time to distribute and package goods at the Share Food warehouse. Activities at the warehouse included packing boxes of food for senior citizens below the poverty line, packing food for the Share Food pantry, produce sorting, and car packing. The team helped pack 600 boxes!
Rachel Hoops, an LMC Cares Ambassador reported, “It is a wonderful feeling knowing you have spent your morning making an impact for your local community. It is a cherry on the sundae getting to do so with coworkers.”
The LMC Team will be making another stop to the Share Food Warehouse on December 1st and continues support through various in-office food donations.
