Hancock Lumber Creates Scholarship at Mitchell Institute

Maine-based Hancock Lumber’s owner is being recognized for contributions to higher education in the community. The Mitchell Institute, a scholarship organization dedicated to providing resources to Maine students, shared the news via social media:

Kevin and his family will be recognized at the 30th Anniversary Gala on Sept. 26, alongside generous donors who together are establishing six new Pioneer Scholarship recognitions this year with gifts of $250,000 or more. Their collective generosity strengthens the Mitchell Institute’s ability to invest in a greater number of hard-working, talented, Maine students who have big hopes for their futures.

In addition to the scholarship, the Mitchell Institute provides mentorship, financial support for personal and professional development, and access to a committed network of alumni and industry leadership."
