In 1993, Donna Millison started her career at LMC as secretary in commodity Building Materials. Throughout her tenure at LMC, Donna has demonstrated her exceptional skills and versatility by contributing her talents to various departments. Notably, she has been a valuable member of the EWL team since 2004, excelling in her role as a Trader. It becomes evident when speaking with Millison that her recent promotion is well-deserved. Her passion for LMC is palpable and has been a driving force behind her success.
When asked about her new role, Donna said, “I’m very excited. It’s definitely a learning curve for me coming from lumber, but I promise to come around quickly."
Millison is eager about her position as she hopes to take all her knowledge from various experiences within LMC to make an impact in the OSB department. “It’s a great department with an amazing team that I hope to share my LMC passion with. I feel as though my energy and experience with LMC will be very beneficial in the position.”
A 30-year career at LMC means creating a lot of memories. Looking back on her journey, Donna remarked, “My favorite part is knowing all the “ins” and “outs” of the company. If something must be fixed or somebody needs to be contacted, I know exactly how to fix it and who to call.”
As Donna looked back on her time working at LMC, she remembered many stories about talking and working with Dealers. She takes pride in helping establish programs designed to help LMC Dealers as well proving the power of relationships at LMC.
Inquiring about her greatest accomplishment, she remarked, “The friendships I’ve made with both dealers and co-workers have been so important to me. Their businesses have taught me so much and I hope I can bring that to my new position in OSB. Many people joke about it but who you work with really does become family.”
Aside from her commitment to LMC, Donna is also passionate about strengthening the internal relationships. Donna is a current member of the LMC TogetHER committee: this initiative is dedicated to supporting the growing number of women in the lumber and building materials industry.
