Over the last few years Canfor has acquired several family-run mills in the U.S. South. Our mills are strategically located within an excellent timber basket, which allows us to produce quality SYP products, suitable for a wide variety of applications.
Canfor will break ground on building a new, state-of-the-art sawmill near DeRidder, Louisiana this year. The investment is estimated at $160 million USD, and the facility will have an annual production capacity of 250 million board feet. This mill will expand our geographic footprint in the U.S. South and enhance our ability to meet the growing demand of our customers.
