Arnold Lumber has been named one of LBM Journal's 2025 Dealers of the Year, placing in the $50MM-$100MM category. The prestigious award recognizes the most innovative LBM dealers in the United States from more than 60 nominations nationwide.
From its beginnings as a family operation where Kit Arnold and his son Arthur Sr. stored lumber in their garage, Arnold Lumber has grown into a trusted regional leader with four locations across Rhode Island. Since establishing its first lumber shed in West Kingston in 1952, the company has expanded to include full-service yards in Wakefield, Bristol, and Westerly, offering comprehensive building materials, masonry supplies, and Kitchen & Bath Design Centers. For 114 years, Arnold Lumber's dedication to exceptional customer service has been at the heart of their business.
Building on this momentum, Arnold Lumber has announced the launch of a new multifamily and commercial division. The company noted, "This initiative reflects our commitment to delivering innovative solutions and premium materials tailored to contractors and builders in the commercial and multi-family sectors throughout Rhode Island, as well as parts of Massachusetts and Connecticut."
As a family and women-owned business, Arnold Lumber continues to meet evolving industry demands while broadening its impact. To lead this effort, Steve Rendine has been appointed Vice President of Multi-Family + Commercial, bringing expertise and vision to drive growth and innovation in large-scale developments.
Arnold Lumber has been an LMC Dealer since 1999.
